Emma Baillie is a registered mental health nurse with 13 years of experience. Since 2019 she has provided welfare and mental health support at music festivals, combining her professional experience with her belief in the positive impact that music, connection and community can have on mental wellbeing. Lee Martin, founder of Lakefest has been open about his issues with mental health and the challenges that events season can bring, alongside the importance of gathering together and celebrating music and culture. The Dub Pistols front man Barry Ashworth knows all about the festival scene. He became an ambassador for Tonic Music because of the great work they do bringing the issue of mental health into the open and challenging the stigma around it. Founded in 2012, Tonic provide accessible programmes of mental health support tailored for the music community. The discussion will be hosted by Roisin Linton, a sexual crises worker by day and theatre performer by night.
